The Judeo-Christian fanatic lobbies in the US and the West are working overtime to create an impression of Iran whereby their three-pronged attack: political, economic and military, on Iran should look appropriate and feasible. This time, however, after failing to find Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) in Iraq, they are finding it a bit difficult to net in the ever-gullible secular elements of the world's intelligentsia. You cannot 'fool all the people all the time.'
Although regarding the nuclear tug of war between the US and the West on the one hand and Iran on the other, most capitals are neutral yet, in the wake of constant propaganda pouring in from all sides, this neutrality might turn itself into despondent silence. This will be a sure recipe for a crisis of huge magnitude with the potential to engulf the whole region as well as the fate of a couple of coming generations.
Iran's weak, rather very weak media is not presenting their side of the story very effectively, in fact it is being mishandled by their own media sphinx. Resultantly it turns out to be a very tough bargain for Iran's negotiators at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna. One fails to figure out the justification of two unsigned letters shown around at the IAEA threatening the resumption of enrichment activities if the issue is referred to the UNSC.
However, lessons learnt at an early stage can make up for the previous losses. Although Iran has not been able to gain substantial support from world capitals, due to many economic and strategic reasons exclusive to every capital, to avoid IAEA's UNSC referral that took place on September 24, at Vienna, Iran's stand on its nuclear programme is quite justified, legitimate and principled.
It is quite rare that the IAEA should be divisive on such maters as usually issues are settled with consensus. This time, however, only 22 countries sided with the British, France and German resolution with full backing and blessing of the US.
This does not have any immediate impact on Iran's nuclear programme; however, it has significant implications as follows:
(a) It alludes to the seriousness with which the issue is being taken at the movers' capitals as well as the intransigence of the Iranian nation to guard its nuclear assets at all cost.
(b) By implication it shows that presently Western capitals are under the clouding influence of very conservative Judeo-Christian lobbies that will not loosen their grip on the issue so soon.
(c) It hints at the necessity that Iran should immediately bring in a
refreshing change, not in its peaceful nuclear ambitions, but rather in its foreign office and its media strategy to create a positive and constructive image of the country, to counter the distortions abound globally that only go in favour of its foes.
While doing this, however, Iran should not shy away from its cultural and Islamic moorings, as we have done in Pakistan, and instead, build its stature on these sound foundations to bring it out to the whole world in an effective and constructive way that Iran under its present leadership is a responsible, futurist and progressive country.
As there is a difference between "being" and "noticing", there is a
difference between "telling" and "knowing". Iran is a great nation;
however, some capitals under the influence of diabolical propaganda of the US and its close allies do not know this.
They cannot know until Iran's refurbished media machine and rejuvenated diplomacy do their job more effectively. As nuclear non-proliferation is a global issue and cannot be considered only an internal national problem, therefore, on a regular basis Iran should brief the world capitals about its good intentions as well as other developments regarding its nuclear programme and that too at all diplomatic levels.
At the same time, Iran should expose the duplicity and illegitimacy of the demands made against its peaceful nuclear ambitions. Contrary to the spirit of the NPT and on its own, the US and its allies have decided that Iran should not have the computability of making nuclear bombs, whether it has the intentions or not, has been made unjustifiably redundant. With this follows the diabolical intentions and plans of the West under the US to completely neutralize Iran's nuclear programme.
One thing is obvious that Iran with its peaceful nuclear technology is not a bad thing rather it will have a positive impact on the whole region, whereas, Iran itself knows that it does not need a nuclear bomb to protect its sovereignty. As long as the Iranian nation sees its future in Islam, no power on earth can subdue it. A peaceful nuclear Iran is certainly a good prospect for the region. Presently Iran has to play it cool and not drift into the pitfall of acting rashly to defeat the real intentions of the US and its allies.
